Severe weather and rising water levels created an immediate need for the levee. The client’s existing resources could not meet the required pace due to limited plant capacity for 24-hour operation, insufficient skilled operators for drainage and levee construction, lack of onsite maintenance personnel, compressed timelines, escalating environmental and safety risks and the need for engineering and supervisory oversight across multiple work fronts.

MW Civil delivered a rapid mobilisation response, deploying a large team and modern fleet for continuous operation. A turnkey workforce of 50 experienced operators, supervisors, engineers and maintenance staff was mobilised, with personnel selected for experience in drainage, levee construction and large-scale earthworks, supported by safety-focused leadership for 24-hour shifts. MW Civil deployed 30 machines, including dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, watercarts, and compaction equipment, with correct machine selection for production and material management, full site compliance, including Tier ratings, fire suppression and safety systems, and onsite maintenance personnel, to maximise equipment availability.
