MW Civil delivered the full suite of civil works required for a 15-hectare solar farm development for Pacific Energy. Our scope included site clearing and grubbing, topsoil removal and stockpiling, and the excavation of approximately 49,000m³ to prepare five solar array pads.
We placed and compacted over 75,000m³ of engineered fill, utilising both site-won and imported materials, to meet project-specific geotechnical performance standards. The works also included the construction of site access roads, designated material storage and laydown areas, and a site office laydown area.
To ensure long-term durability and effective water management, a comprehensive drainage system was installed, including culverts and rock pitching. Additionally, we drilled over 3,000 holes for the solar panel foundations, providing the structural base for the array installation.
Our integrated approach to earthworks and infrastructure delivery ensured efficient progress toward site readiness, supporting the rollout of renewable energy infrastructure.
